Willa is found on a scaffolding in the South Plaza, protected by another construction worker, Terri Glass. When Chuck Greene arrives, she tells him that she is injured and requires help. Chuck agrees to carry her back to the Safe House along with her friend Terri.
Depending on the ending, Willa was either rescued by a helicopter sent by the Channel 6 News Station, killed by the military firebombing, or killed by the military rescue squad to cover up the truth behind the outbreak.
A glitch was found if you kill Terri in the South Plaza bathroom, while Willa on your back, Chuck will be propelled forward. Willa will go through the walking motions, while floating in mid-air. Chuck will act like she is still on his back, only being able to kick. Willa will also go in and out of the floor, sometimes stopping to cry. She will also sometimes float over to Chuck, shoving him. After a while, she will float down, still acting hostile towards Chuck, and the game will continue on.
In Dead Rising 2: Off the Record Willa and Terri are found in the same place, but, Willa is instead sitting on the ground instead of a scaffolding.
