Tape it or Die is a website dedicated to educating people about combo weapons. They advocate the use of duct tape to craft traps and weapons such as the Knife Gloves or the Paddlesaw. They have been criticized by CURE for their encouragement of violence against zombies.

The Tape it or Die team appear as survivors in Dead Rising 2, Chuck can find them on the 3rd day (September 27) between 6am and 12pm in their hidden studio, located behind Kokonutz Sports Town in Palisades Mall. The locked door at the back will have the proper name and will be open only after giving Katey her Zombrex. At first they won't come with Chuck, but Wallace will ask for the parts to make a Plate Launcher. When the parts are brought to him, he will make the weapon and give Chuck the combo card. Chuck will not be able to rescue them until Case 6.

Note: Remember that in DR2 there can only be a max of 8 survivors on the map at one time, the Tape it or Die team has four members, so make sure that there are no survivors missions or that there are less than 4 or else the door in Kokonutz Sports Town will not unlock. Also it will not appear as a mission but the three VIP's playing poker in the Atlantica casino will still count!

Tape It Or Die 2Edit

At approximately 9:15 AM on Day 4 (or fifteen minutes after the military is supposed to arrive), Chuck will get a message that they are in trouble after their hideout is set on fire. Chuck can either attempt to rescue them immediately (and deal with a very tight time limit) or wait until after the failed rescue (and deal with escorting survivors past gas zombies). Regardless of which option the player chooses, having unlocked the secret passage will simplify the rescue considerably. If the player intends to attempt this mission, they should definitely have done Wilted Flower beforehand.

Upon arrival, Chuck will find them on the first floor fighting zombies. A good option for ending this fight without harm to the TIOD crew is to smash a queen in the middle of the battle; all of the zombies will go down at once. Once the zombies have been defeated, the TIOD crew will agree to go with Chuck. From there, he will be able to escort them to the Safe House. In return, he will be awarded 50,000 PP for each member of the crew he saves, plus two combo cards: the Blazing Aces and the Exsanguinator.
