- "Chuck, you'd better get back here. That guy Stuart has been talking to people about something, and now they insist on talking to you!"
- —Stacey Forsythe
Stuart's Scheme is a mission exclusively in Dead Rising 2. It involves Stuart Holmes starting a mutiny, since he believes that Chuck Greene is behind the zombie outbreak in Fortune City.
Summary[]
Stuart watches Rebecca Chang's news report about Chuck being responsible for the outbreak and decides to confront Chuck. Chuck tries to calm Stuart down, but he is very angry for "ruining their lives". Chuck insists that he has been framed but Stuart does not believe him, sarcastically saying that he is a grandmother from Hoboken who goes to gay bars. Stuart demands an honest answer, claiming he is an honest man.
Chuck fires back by asking is that why he was looting his employer's casino and Stuart becomes nervous. Chuck insists his innocence, adding the fact that he is helping people and why would he stick around if he caused the outbreak. Chuck promises that he will clear his name and Stuart apologizes and backs down.
Should Chuck fail to stop Stuart from telling everyone, he will defect and leave the Safe House along with several people.
The following five survivors will leave the Safe House with Stuart if Chuck doesn't stop him:

I'm onto you, Chuck! First you trick me out of my worker's compensation, and then I find out you're the one behind this whole deal. Whoa, buddy. Wait just a damn minute here. Yeah, mister tough guy. Mister terrorist. Not so tough when the citizens confront you for justice, are you? Stuart, listen to me. I'm trying to find out who's behind this horrible tragedy myself. I'm on your side. Just tell me why you did it, Chuck, if you've got the guts. Why you destroyed all of our lives by letting those zombies loose? I had nothing to do with this. I know they're saying I did this on TV, but I'm being framed. Sure, sure you are. And I'm an elderly grandmother from Hoboken who enjoys going to gay bars. You can't pull the wool over my eyes, Chuck. I'm an honest man, and I appreciate an honest answer. Is that why you were looting your employer's casino? Um... You're changing the subject, Chuck Listen, why the hell would I go around helping people like you if my real goal was to kill everyone? Why would I stick around? Um... maybe you're just that sick and twisted? They pinned it on me because I was there. But I know what it's like to lose someone in a zombie outbreak. I'd never wish that on anyone. Okay, okay. Calm down, Chuck. And I'm going to find who did this, for real. Because they are not getting away with it. Sure, Frank. Look, man. I'm sorry. I just get a little excited sometimes. Again, sorry. |
