The Spiked Bat is a combo weapon found in Still Creek and Fortune City. It is crafted after combining a Baseball bat and a Box of nails. The spiked bat is the first weapon Chuck will craft (Unless Chuck decides NOT to make a combo weapon at the start), and also the first combo card he receives. It can be constructed many times at the beginning of the storyline, as there is always a Baseball bat and a Box of nails in the first maintenance room. Also, there is a second bat outside the room in question, and a spare box of nails in the storage closet opposite it. Even in coop mode, it is possible for both players to make a spiked bat.
Due to how easy it is to obtain the spiked bat and how many hits it will withstand, the Spiked Bat is one of the most effective weapons in Dead Rising 2. It can easily kill three or four normal zombies with one swing, and will at least knock down gas zombies. Therefore, it is very effective at sweeping crowds of enemies out of Chuck's way.
Primary: Horizontal swing, capable of killing and/or knocking down several zombies at once. Each zombie hit awards 50 PP. Initiated by pressing .
Secondary: By holding down , Chuck jabs a zombie in the torso,knocking it back, followed by a strike to the head with it, with the nails sticking into its forehead. Each kill rewards 200 PP.
