Snowflake Boss Battle is an unmarked mission in Dead Rising 2. It is available on the first day, and will start when Chuck enters the Yucatan Casino. It Starts at 4:00 AM on Day 1 and ends at 10:00 AM on Day 2. The mission time remains unchanged in Off the Record.
After the zombie outbreak, Ted devotes himself to feeding "fresh meat" to feed Snowflake, one of the Yucatan's Bengal tigers. Mocked his whole life because of his low intelligence, he considers the tigers he trains to be his only friends, and becomes angry at Chuck when he thinks Chuck calls him slow.
As Chuck enters the Yucatan Casino, he will spot a survivor named Lenny Mooney. However the man quickly takes off while Ted sneaks up from behind, and simply says, "Snowflake hungry", and knocks Chuck out when he turns around. He then drags Chuck to Snowflake in his habitat. When woken, Chuck at first suggests that Snowflake can eat the zombies around them for food, but Ted insists that zombie meat is rotten and unsuitable for the animal. Chuck then tells him that he will help find fresh meat for Snowflake and tries to calm him down. He tells him to take it "Nice and slow", which Ted interprets as being called "slow". He then gets angry and tells Snowflake to attack, prompting a fight.
There are two phases to this battle; the first phase involves fighting Ted and Snowflake. Ted himself is a fairly mediocre psychopath in terms of difficulty despite having a handgun and a small assortment of melee attacks but Snowflake will periodically interrupt, attacking from various directions. Snowflake has two methods of attack, the first attack is a simple swipe of her claws that will knock Chuck to the ground for one block of damage. Her second, much more dangerous attack is a running lunge that will knock Chuck down, prompting the player to wiggle the control stick to get Snowflake off of him as fast as he can or risk several blocks of damage. A simple way to defeat Ted without worrying about feline interference is to lead him into the corridor where the maintainence room is; Snowflake will not enter this location.
Taming Snowflake is difficult, and it helps to bring additional steak beforehand (the food mart in Palisades Mall and the BBQ shack in the Food Court both have some). If you did not, you will need to grab all three of the steaks lying around the tiger pen, and possibly the one in the restaurant itself. Drop the steak in various places, preferably near where you found the steak in the pen. When you see Snowflake coming, position yourself so that the steak is between you and her. Snowflake should notice the steak and slowly advance toward it, then eat it, restoring some health. Make absolutely sure that she goes through the eating animation successfully; occasionally a zombie will swipe at her while she's eating, thus interrupting the animation and forcing you to try again. Repeat the process three times with the steak provided in her pen to successfully tame her.
