Skylar was seen trying to rescue a female survivor Skylar, trying to save A female survivor outside the Fortune City Arena, but she was killed by a zombie. He ran for his life, bumping into Chuck and Katey on the way to the safe house. He was later seen lamenting over not being able to rescue her. He made it into the safe house along with several other survivors. Sullivan cleared him and he headed inside the safe house.
As the rescue team sent by Channel 6 News Station came in to save the survivors, Skylar was seen getting into a helicopter with Tamara Stein. Before he escaped, Chuck asked him if he has seen Stacey or Katey.
Depending on the ending, Skylar was either rescued by a helicopter sent by the Channel 6 News Station, killed by the military firebombing, or killed by the military rescue squad to cover up the truth behind the outbreak.

Skylar plays a very similar role then he does in Dead Rising 2, he is also seen helping Frank West get to the Fortune City Emergency Shelter if Frank is defeated or takes too long during the introduction. He is also encountered in the Yucatan Casino near the entrance to the Shoal Nightclub in Sandbox Mode, wielding a Tiki Torch.
