Dead Rising 2 | Dead Rising 3 |
The six shooter is a weapon in Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It can be obtained from the saw table in South Plaza after defeating Seymour Redding during the mission WWJWD?.
The firearm appears as an engraved Colt Single Action Army .45 Colt Revolver holding with a capacity of 60 rounds. When used against zombies, each shot earns 10 PP and causes their heads to explode when shot. The six shooter proves to be highly effective in battles against psychopaths, allowing the player to engage them from medium to long range while dealing significant damage. In fact, the six shooter alone is often sufficient to defeat any boss encounter.
Its ammo count is doubled if the player is equipped with the Soldier of Fortune Skills Pack.

Trivia[]
- The six shooter is modeled after the real-life Colt Single Action Army.
- Owing to its large capacity and high damage (even against Dwight Boykin and Sullivan), the six shooter stands out as one of the most effective ranged weapons in Dead Rising 2.
- The six shooter is one of six weapons that does not spawn if the player is already carrying one. The other weapons are: Magician Sword, Shopping Valuables, Giant Pink Chainsaw, Rocket Launcher (from World's Most Dangerous Trick), and the LMG. All magazines also have this restriction.[1]
- As survivors can use the six shooter, and the game does not check if a survivor is holding one, players can circumvent the one-item limit of the six shooter, LMG, and magician sword by giving it to a survivor, leaving and re-entering the spawn area, and then picking up another one. This allows players to carry up to nine of either weapon.
- When stationary, the six shooter is fired from the hip with the hammer being fanned.
- In Off the Record, the six shooter can be obtained by unlocking Security Box #764 in the Fortune City Bank.
- There is a weapon in the game files called the "HangmanGun", which is the gun that Seymour Redding uses during his boss battle. The weapon can be modded into the player's inventory. If the player attempts to fire, the player's character model will go permanently into the firing position. See pictures in the gallery below.
