Shell Shocked (also known as Shell-shocked in the remastered version) is a mission appearing exclusively in Dead Rising 2.
Summary[]
Chuck Greene encounters a survivor named Dean Wayne at The American Historium in the Americana Casino, who is fending off zombies with a handgun. Chuck offers to guide him back to the safehouse and Dean accepts. Dean moves slowly due to an old war wound yet refuses to be carried.
Chuck can allow Dean to slowly follow him back to the Safe House or use a wheelchair to bring him faster.
Having the Leadership magazine will make Dean Wayne walk faster.

You'll never take me alive! Eat yourself some Grade-A American made lead, you zombie bastards! Who the hell are you? Name and rank, soldier!! If you're one of them traitor infiltrator types, so help me I'll... Hold on, buddy. I'm on your side. I can take you to a safe place. Safe, huh? Boy, there ain't no safety, not with all of America's enemies lurking. 'Sides, my legs were shot up in the last war. I ain't the best at walkin' around anymore. Alright, how about if I carry you there? Don't even think about touchin' me, son! We'll get there, like real men. We watch each other's back. Let's move it! |
Trivia[]
- In the safehouse, as you save Dean, he states: "You never forget your first kill, boy. But it gets easier each time."
- Dean will seemingly not accept a wheelchair ride if you already have another survivor. This makes it difficult for you to escort him and another survivor at the same time; it would be ideal to first escort him and then any other survivor afterwards.
