In Dead Rising 2, Paul "The Mauler" Lazenby serves as the color commentator for Terror Is Reality, alongside Don Andrews. As a character, he is known to be a former contestant and champion of Terror Is Reality, having mentioned being in Terror Is Reality VII. He still holds a number of scoring records.

In real life, Paul is a mixed martial arts champion and color commentator. Although not listed in the credits, he plays the role of himself in Dead Rising 2.

Paul's commentaries are almost unfailingly arrogant, vulgar, and mean-spirited. He is especially fond of making various sexual innuendos, as well as bashing Don at any opportunity; this includes, but is not limited to, calling him gay and impotent, and talking about sleeping with his wife.

His face is never shown in the game. However, he resembles the apparent main character of the fictional MMA movie Blood Round 4, starring Clint Rockfoot. Examining the movie's poster gives you the combo card for the Tenderizers.
