Jared is a survivor appearing in Dead Rising 2 during the missions Once Bitten and Chemical Dependency.

Jared is located in Wily Travels in the Royal Flush Plaza. He was bitten by zombies and will require Zombrex. Chuck will have to offer him a shoulder to carry him in order to take him to the safe house.

Chemical DependencyEdit

Later on during Day 3, Jared will need another dose of Zombrex, so Chuck will need to find some for him in order to complete his fulfillment request. Jared will die at 3pm. This quest may occur during the Ante Up quest. If you do not leave the safe house you will not get the phone call and the next time you leave you'll be told Jared died.

TriviaEdit

• If the mission runs out of time because you failed to find Jared and save him, a cutscene will show him transform, but it won't show his actual model of a zombie.
• If Chuck allows the mission "Chemical Dependency" to expire while he is in the Safe House, a cutscene will show Sullivan kill Jared just as he transforms. If Chuck is not in the Safe House when the mission expires, a message onscreen will inform you that Jared is dead.
• Jared has some similarities with Simone Ravendark and Leroy McKenna from Dead Rising as they are all are saveable survivors that have been bitten by Zombies and are worried about the outcome of their bite wound.
• Jared is one of three survivors (Randolph and Luz are the other two) with particularly large PP awards associated with them. In his case, a total of 90,000 PP can be awarded: 10,000 for getting him to join in "Once Bitten", 20,000 for completing the escort, and an additional 60,000 for giving him Zombrex in "Chemical Dependency". All three of these awards will be affected by the Rescue magazine, allowing for a potential award of 112,500 PP for successfully seeing to all of Jared's needs.
• Jared can be seen in the opening cinematic, as a waiter serving wine to Luke and Leah.
• In Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Jared is found in Pub O' Gold in the Silver Strip.
• In Dead Rising 2 Jared is shown with a checkred brown shirt, however his notebook picture shows him with a light blue shirt.
• If you are in the Royal Flsuh Plaza when it expires Jared might still be sitting on the ground still alive and it shows that you can give him Zombrex but you can't.
