Floyd the Sommelier is a scoop in Dead Rising and Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop.

It takes place in the Security Room in the early morning of the third day. Frank must return to the Security Room to hear Floyd Sander's request.

Overview

If Frank rescued Floyd Sanders from Ned's Knicknackery, Otis will call saying that Floyd wants some wine, to calm the frizzled nerves of his fellow survivors who are very panicky and upset. He feels that the wine will help everyone calm down and relax. Upon giving the wine to Floyd, he will thank Frank. If Frank does not bring Floyd the wine, he will then complain about how Frank cannot do an old man a favor.

There needs to at least three survivors in the yellow room (Tonya, Ross, Sally, Nick, Jolie, Rachel, Mindy, Debbie, Paul, Susan and/or Simone) with Floyd, otherwise the scoop will not start. Once three or more survivors are in the room with Floyd, Otis will call Frank about this scoop.

Giving Floyd Wine

Floyd: All the young folks seem so busy. Running here and there. All a man my age can do is sit and eat. Take a look around. It's hard to read it on their faces, but everyone's on edge here. Their nerves are frazzled. That's why I asked you to bring some wine. A little alcohol should soothe all our nerves. So, did you bring it? Give Floyd wine Floyd: Thank you. It will not solve any of our long term problems, but it'll certainly help lighten the mood. I appreciate your taking the time to do this for us. Don't give Floyd wine Frank: Sorry, I don't have any. Floyd: Hmph! Can't even do a simple favor for an old man in need eh?

Trivia

• In Chop Till You Drop, instead of requesting for wine, Floyd will request for Blue Juice.
• A "Sommelier" is a waiter in a restaurant who is in charge of wines and serving wines, a wine steward.
• It is not confirmed, but it appears that the survivors start behaving quite aggressive and erractic towards each other after this request is fulfilled. They start pushing each other and repeating phrases often.
