The Cryo Pod is a combo weapon appearing in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It is created by combining an Escape Pod with a Fire Extinguisher. Frank places it on top of a zombie, and then the pod flies around (with the zombie still stuck inside it) freezing any other zombies under or around it with the extinguishing fluid. Once the fuel finally runs out, the pod explodes, killing any zombies in its wake, and potentially hurting Frank if he gets too close.

TriviaEdit

• Since the necessary materials for making the Cryo Pod are somewhat uncommon, its use is mostly restricted to areas where the materials are easy to come by, such as Uranus Zone.
• When it flies around, the Cryo Pod also makes floors slippy with an icy coating. You can use this to net yourself some "comedy" and "special" shots with your camera (Take a picture of the Cryo Pod in flight), but beware as you can also slip and fall on these surfaces.
• Another ideal place to make this weapon is at a maintenance room located near the main entrance to Uranus Zone in Fortune Park.
• Normally, this weapon gives you about 150PP per kill with the combo card, but a total of 165PP can be obtained if you have the Magazine (Combat 3) in your inventory.
