Carlos Mertiz is a victim appearing in Dead Rising 2. He was killed by Leon Bell in the mission Meet the Contestants.

Carlos is found wandering in the Platinum Strip. As Chuck is dealing with his rival Leon, Carlos waves them down, shouting for help. Chuck and Leon see Carlos, but Leon revs up his bike and heads toward him, slicing him in half. His crazed rationale is that humans are worth "more points" than zombies as they "move around too much".

NotesEdit

• It is impossible to save Carlos as he is killed during the cutscene at the beginning of this mission.

• His notebook entry shows him wearing some kind of sunglasses, though he is not seen wearing any.

• His body like Sid from Dead Rising doesn't spawn in the world after the cutscene.

• Carlos does not appear in Off the Record due to the fact that his murderer, Leon Bell, doesn't appear in OTR as well.
• Carlos looks similar to Jack Ellis.
