Carlito's Hideout is the secret refuge of Carlito and Isabela Keyes during their stay in the mall. They have set up a base-of-operations in the ventilation level above the stores in the North Plaza.

Carlito and Isabela, in preparation for their plan to unleash the zombies, made their own safe room inside the under-construction North Plaza. Their hideaway had supplies such as food and water, computers, and blankets. This area was accessible by climbing boxes and lifting a ceiling trapdoor; this being too complicated for the zombies to reach them, and secretive enough so nobody could find them. Their hideout was also strategically placed next to the gun shop, which explains why Carlito and Isabela were able to obtain their variety of guns (F-P90 machine gun, Barrett M82 sniper rifle, shotgun, handguns).

This area is of importance because Carlito left a laptop containing all of his ideas and plans for revenge in there; when Isabela cracked the password, she was able to learn of Carlito's plan involving the infected orphans.

TriviaEdit

• There are actually two ways inside, both entrances in front of the unfinished stores next to the Huntin' Shack.
• The rug in the hideout can be used as a save point for Frank. This area also eventually becomes a new safe haven for Frank and Isabela during Overtime Mode when the Special Forces invade the mall.
• The rug in the hideout is only one of two places where Frank can lie down to save, the other being the sofa in the security room.
• In infinity mode, Carlito's Hideout is the only accessable area where neither psychopaths nor survivors spawn.
