Brian Scherbey is a survivor in Dead Rising 2 during the mission Brains Over Brawn. He was also mentioned on the Tape it or Die website in a blog, having been found by Gretchen while she searched the city for supplies.

He was found by Gretchen Peregrine in the South Plaza. He and his friends, John Boog, Curtis Ellenton, and Kevin Meyers, were found playing a board game in a construction zone. Their behavior deterred Gretchen from escorting them to Johnny Pipes's hide out. The quad of men managed to slip their business cards in Gretchen's pocket just as she was leaving.

Brian is found in the South Plaza in an unfinished store with his pals. Upon being discovered by Chuck Greene, he and his friends will not budge. After being convinced that there are attractive women at the Fortune City Emergency Shelter, he agrees to be escorted to safety.

• Brian is more than likely based off of Steve Urkel, one of the characters from the show, "Family Matters", as they both wear suspenders, and Urkel and Brian are both African American, the only difference is that Brian does not have glasses.

• Brian has the same character model as Drake Danton, a victim, and Marvin Horner, a deleted character.
